Sodomy is Not Bullying

            This nation lacks a proper definition of bullying. The majority of definitions of bullying include illegal acts of aggression like assault, battery, menacing, stalking, and sexual harassment. The fervent dialogue about students' aggression must include clear lines between legally actionable behaviors like assault and actual bullying. Groups representing minority students are engaged in the wrong conversation.

What do board members do anyway?

Often people are under the impression that school board members are either rubber stamps for the superintendent or capable of over-ruling every decision every parent is not happy with. Honestly, board members are neither.

School board members' job is to be visionaries.  It is our job to set vision and mission for the district and use our monthly meetings to monitor the progress toward that vision through approval of required elements, examination of budget, and review of policy.
Are girls more dangerous than boys

Are female bullies more dangerous than male bullies? Does earned equality give girls the license to abuse each other and boys? Seems to me we should be teaching all children to behave with more respect for themselves and each other. Psychological, social, and emotional abuse/bullying are more dangerous in the long-term than any fistfight.
